If someone asked me if I would one day work in the creative industry, I would have said "No", but here we are. If someone asked me if I would one day create a networking event, I would have said "Are you crazy?", but see, that happened too. That’s the thing when you work at rhum, the possibilities are endless.

In my day-to-day at rhum, I encounter with many people from the creative industry. One day, I thought to myself “Why can’t we have a space for everyone in the creative industry to get together and create connections?”

This is when Créa_Connect was born.

At its core, Créa_Connect was conceived with a singular mission: to foster a sense of community and collaboration among passionate individuals in the creative industry. A place where people from a variety of creative disciplines such as video games, advertising, and VFX can come together to share ideas and forge new relationships in a relaxed yet energized environment.

Finally, after months of preparation, on September 27th, we all gathered for the first edition of Créa_Connect. People showed up, and the attendees engaged in conversations and networked! For me, it was mission accomplished.

A 45-minute panel was conducted, that talked about highly sought-after candidates and how to navigate the job market. This panel gave attendees practical knowledge and actionable strategies to navigate the job market. The discussion was super insightful, and even as a recruiter who is immersed in bringing innovative solutions to my clients on a daily basis, I learned a lot from the ideas that were shared.

As I looked around the event and witnessed people connecting with each other, having fun, collaborating, and exchanging LinkedIn information, I said to myself "You made it!"

In retrospect, Créa_Connect facilitated networking and created a vibrant, interconnected creative ecosystem. As the participants left, I think they carried the spirit of collaboration and a shared vision for a future where creativity knows no bounds.

In conclusion, Créa_Connect is a testament to the power of bringing creative minds together. In an industry that thrives on innovation and collaboration, the event was all about uniting individuals under the common banner of creativity.

So, cheers to many more Créa_Connect events, this will surely not be our last!

And just like that, I became an event planner (and now, a writer!)
